6 days to SC outing to Southern Ridges
check out SC board for the map of southern ridges! we are walking from harbourfront all the way to HortPark...
n yep, hortpark actually means Horticulture... haha.. where the word "hort" comes from... so we see alot of greenery n plants there...
things to bring:
waterbottle
snacks (to munch on along the way!)
waterbottle
cap (when the sun gets hot...)
waterbottle
xtra tshirt (if you become v sweaty)

proper trekking shoes (it is sorta a trek.. haha..)

umbrella/poncho (should it rain)

so from the above list, u see the waterbottle is very important.. haha... drink lotsa water!

Hey SCS! Xingqi here. We have a new event coming up on our SC calendar that is starting in 2 weeks time!
MOVIE MARATHON!!
Thus, i need 40 SCs to volunteer to help out on that day. The duties include food, movie screenings, ticketing or safety. Duties will be allocated randomly (: It'll be on 8th August!
You guys will have to report at 6pm in school in your black council tee and school skirt/pants and end at about 8am the next day. You guys will also be able to have some fun and watch some movies too as the duties will be done in 2 shifts! :D
Further details will be given on a later date. Your help may be required before the actual event depending on your duties.

Please note that for tmr's basketball match, an email has been sent to all CCA teachers to encourage them to support the match. However, whether you are excused from CCA still depends on whether the CCA session is essential/important and also your individual CCA teacher. So do double check with your individiual CCA teacher tmr recess whether or not you can be excused from CCA (:

SCs! being councillors, in order to lead we must serve and in order to serve, we must first learn to care. The basketball guy team will be having an important match tmr and as the school's student council, we should show our support for the team. All SCs are highly encouraged to head for the match and show our support for the basketball team. Let them feel that SC is here for them, no matter what. Do go down, cheer for them and just have some fun while showing our strong school spirit.
Do SMS Jia Hui if you'll be heading down to support them. We need as many SCs as possible and we do hope that you guys can do your part in showing that SC is there for the student body!

okae... weijie here wanna make an appeal to you guys...
keep hearing that people cannot make it.. due to cca n bsp... so far confirmed are those who are in BSP and st john's.. you guys got official events which u cannot miss...
so.. when do you guys wanna have the outing then? was thinking of this outing as sorta "final" for all the year 4s to go out with the juniors, and for the whole council to have an outing, in full attendance...
the place is a really nice place for actitivities n bonding, as seen by me, yixiang, n binbin n we relle think that alot of things could be done there...
the 19th NPCC is having their P-O-P... so we cnt have it on that day... we cnt have it on weekdays can we.? n sundays are difficult, usually we spend time with our family.. the next available time -- 2nd august...
my concern is tht it will be too late... but the main aim for this outing is relle for the whole council to come together again as one family, before we all go off for exams, n handover n stuff...
there is still about 2 weeks or more to 2nd august.. so issit alright if we have it on that day instead.? pass msg arnd fellow scs... then can feedback to weijie :)

Finally, all the year 3s SCs had finished their exco '0809 interview. We had really see many of y'all grown up to be a more matured and reflective councilor. Good job everyone!
To be honest, y'all made me think back on how i was sitting right in front the exco '0607 and having the exact same interview one year back then. I remembered it was in one of the container classes at Block B. It was very scary if you want me to admit (haha).
Just want to tell you guys that no matter what is the result of the new exco batch, don't be disheartened or overly happy. Because no matter you're one of the 11 or not, it doesn't change the fact that we are still one big Ohana. (:
Just a little reminder, everyone must study hard now!! 'cause EOYs are around the corner already!!

This announcement goes out to all those SCs who are under Ms. Yeo for the progress review. Pls take note that Ms. Yeo has given instructions for these SCs to schedule a appointment date with her latest by this week and meet her asap. Year 4s have up to August to meet her whereas the Year 2s and 3s have to meet her in the next 2 weeks. :D

meeting venue is east coast park de macdonald's...
meeting time is 9am...
attire is any tshirt n pants...
bring along extra tshirt regardless staying overnight or not...
bring along extra extra tshirt if u staying overnight.. heh..
bring sleeping bag if u like (optional) btw there wun be space to sleep hor... haha!
