hello scs~!

(shall try not to be cliche in this post :P )

hahas both psltc and sc camp are over! first with a short paragraph about psltc: glad to see the SCs help out in the psltc camp. i am sure while teaching and facilitating the primary school kids, you have learnt some valuable skills too! hahas thats all for psltc, really short right? now for sc camp!

firstly, a special dedication to the year 2s. well, this is probably the 2nd or 3rd camp for all of you, and i am sure after more than half a year, you have understood more about SC and have a sense of belonging. its really heartening to see the 20+ of you growing closer to each other, during games and meals, laughing and kidding about. (and reminds me of your french fries eating competition -.- ) its always good to make more friends, and especially since you all shall be working hand in hand with each other even more in the coming future, so you can built on each others' strengths and help cover your weaknesses. i can see a lot of potential in all of you, waiting to be brought out. i find you a responsible lot, and very fun loving too! set your goals for the next 2 years in SC and go ahead to achieve it! i am sure you can do it! and always consult your seniors or teachers when in doubt, we shall be there to help you! (like me, heh heh)

ho ho now for the year 3s and 4s. hahas of cause we are a fun-loving and responsible lot too! year 3s, you must prepare to be the big seniors! we year 4s are passing the baton to you in a few months, do a good job! G-O-O-D, GOOD JOB, GOOD JOB! (clap clap) year 4s we did a wonderful job organising! thank you everyone for participating actively!

overall, i must say that SC camp was a success! 2 days of fun, learning, and bonding. do apply what you have learnt, and continue to let the burning passion in your heart shine like a 1000W bulb! together, we shall bring SC to greater heights!

Hey everyone!

Both PSLTC and SC Camp are over, and I guess it's time for some (or most) of you to take a well-deserved break. Much has been said about PSLTC, so I shall talk about SC Camp.

As mentioned during the debrief earlier, I'm so proud to see all of you being leaders in your own special and unique ways. Sometimes while standing at the sidelines and watching all you guys do your stuff, I can see many people displaying their own authentic leadership qualities, and as a group, all your qualities seem to blend nicely to form success.

It doesn't matter who was the winning group this time, or who scored the least points etc. What I would say is that all of you have done exceptionally well, despite this being a leisure camp. I mean, I'm proud of all of you for being able to keep to whatever meeting times we set, and also for co-operating with us all the time.

One event that struck me rather deeply was the night activities, meaning the two candle activities. Candle War was great in many aspects - in that all of you managed to keep your noise levels down (seriously, you all were great) and in that you all strategised nicely and were willing to listen to and accept others' opinions and ideas. That is integral. The next candle activity was great too. Although many of you picked the tea lights of fellow SCs that you did not really know well, you still talked quite a fair bit about the person and wished him/her well. A new friend found! :-)

Thank You for being so enthusiastic and participative throughout the whole of this week, and we hope that all of you will enjoy the rest of the June holidays. Gotta take care of yourselves, remember to play hard and of course, do your holiday homework as well ;-)

Take care :-)
