Two events: Speech Day and Movie Marathon.

1. Speech Day
Thank You to all SCs on duty for Speech Day. I know some of you were very tired and some didn't get to eat while others (like me!) ate too much :p all of you did really well despite being (in a way) suffocated in your blazers and long-sleeved shirts, and walking like penguins in your court shoes. Haha jkjk. Once again, thank you for volunteering to help out with today's duties. Much appreciated ya?

2. Movie Marathon
Important information regarding the movie marathon:

There will be an IMPORTANT briefing for SCs on duty for movie marathon next Monday (30 April 2007) at 0735 in the foyer. Do be there.

For the movie marathon itself, (note: this only applies to SCs on duty k)

Reporting Time: 1915 hours (that means 7.15pm)
Venue: Let's say, Foyer?
Attire: SC Adidas Jersey and pants no shorter than the length of bermudas (school skirt is allowed too in the event that you are not going home after school. Ultimately your choice! :p)
To bring: Torchlight (just in case!), lightsticks (if possible)

Names of JHSCs on duty (excluding planning comm)

All SCs on duty, please pass me your consent forms DURING SCHOOL TIME on Monday (during the meeting la preferably) in order to pass through "customs". HAHA. You can't show up in the evening with your consent form. They won't allow it. So please remember.

ATTENTION ALL STUDENT COUNCILLORS
RE: SPEECH DAY (AND REHEARSAL) MANPOWER ALLOCATION

Hey guys and gals! Written CLEARLY below is the information you will need regarding Speech Day Duties. Please do read the whole post carefully and drop ME (Mabel Ang 4J) a message once you have read this post and are aware of your duties, attire, reporting time and venue whatsoever. Speech Day itself is on 27 April 2007, Friday. There will be no formal lessons on that day. Speech Day Rehearsal is THIS Friday, 20 April 2007. We are hoping that it will not exceed 5pm.

IMPORTANT:
  • Please note that you HAVE to be on FORMAL attire, i.e. BLAZERS (ALL to be collected on 23 and 24 April during your respective recesses, please look for Yu Ru or Dinah for more information), COURT SHOES/LEATHER SHOES, STOCKINGS for girls, LONG SLEEVED WHITE SHIRT, and LONG DHS PANTS for guys. Do ensure that you look presentable too! :-)
  • Your name might turn up more than ONCE in the list below. Please drop me (Mabel) an SMS (if you don't have my number, please get it from your department heads) once you are aware of your duties. This is especially important for the three groups of people who have to be present for Speech Day Rehearsal this Friday.

2. DECORATIONS (3 SCs)

Cheng Qian, Siswo Hartoyo (I/C), Samuel Lee -- to meet Mr Siva at 10.15am on Speech Day itself. The three of you can go off after you are done with decorations. You do not need to stay behind for the Speech Day ceremony.

3. CONCERT MARSHALLING (4 SCs)

Cassandra Chow (I/C), Cynthia Tan, Chen Min Hua, Lam Yun Shan -- to meet Mdm Loo at LT1 at 3.15pm on Speech Day itself.

4. FOYER USHERING GUESTS + VIPs (4 SCs)

Tseng Xin Ying, Tan Ming Quan, Dinah Chua, Teo Zhi Xin (I/C) -- to meet Mrs Eileen Teng at Foyer at 2pm on Speech Day itself.

5. SCHOOL HALL USHERING (accompany speakers and guest presentation) (3 SCs) [NEED TO TURN UP FOR REHEARSAL]

Hannah Tan (I/C), Berlinda Yong, Amelia Tan (reporting time and venue for day itself not confirmed)

6. REFRESHMENTS DURING CONCERT (6 SCs)

Hey guys,

Please note that the Speech Day details has been updated. Please check the original post (two posts below) if you are still not fully aware of your duties, reporting time and blablablablabla. Not EVERYTHING has been finalised yet though.

Another thing, movie marathon information is on the next post. The people I have managed to gather so far are: Yu Ru, Pui Mun, June, Zara, Ben Ng, Cherie (tentative), Mabel (will be late), Jia Hui, Steffi. Appeal for more Year Threes and (especially) Fours to volunteer! :-) if you're able to help out on that day, please drop me (Mabel) an sms asap alright!

Ok people, Meng Shuen here again. For those new SCs who don't know who I am, I'm from the Senior High SC who erm, is part of the organising comm of the movie marathon. Anyway, we need about 8 junior high SCs other than Cheng Qian, Sara, and Rachel to help out in movie marathon. Any takers?

BTW, you all can push for increased demand for movie marathon! The movies are just out from the school! BUT. Dr Strangelove, Singapore Dreaming and The Vanishing's not confirmed yet.
