Hey everyone!
Please let your parents know that you will be going out of school for a day (15th Nov) during the SC camp, so that they won't be too worried :)

IMPORTANT (rather!:D)
All SCs, please be reminded about the following matters:
- Please submit all SC Camp (13-15 November) consent forms by placing them in Mdm June Loh's locker, outside Staff Room 2, by Thursday, 26 October 2006. If you are unable to make it for the camp for any valid reason, please do hand in the consent form stating your reason for absence during the three days.
- Remember to bring along your current passport-sized photo, baby photo aged 3-6 years, and most importantly, a photocopy of your results slip, for the SC camp!
- For those who left early, please submit your department forms, likewise, to Mdm Loh's locker, but by Wednesday, 25 October 2006 :)
- Orientation Pre-Camp: 20th and 21st December (Please approach Benjamin from 3E, or Cherie/Mabel from 3J if you have any problems regarding these dates)
Oh yes, those who still have your blazers from 50th Anniversary Dinner, please remember to bring them and return it to Yu Ru and Dinah!
AND
All Year 2 and Year 3 SCs, please do remember to write a card for Mrs Ho and hand it in to Yu Ru on Wednesday morning in the foyer, before/after flag raising. The card should be no bigger than 8cm x 8cm big :)

Student Council
The DHS Student Council (DHSSC) was set up in mid-2004. One of the objectives was to streamline the system of student leadership, for the school's application of Best Practice Award (Student All-Round Development) and also for DHP. The Student Council consists of students from Year 2-4, although it is set to change with the Year 5 students in DHP. The Student Council was formerly divided into 3 main departments, General Affairs, Event Management and Pupil Mentoring, each headed by a Vice-President of the Student Council. This structure was modified in late 2005, into 6 departments, namely Level Council, Student Welfare, Communications and Publicity, CCA Council, Corporate Relations and Internal Affairs, which is effective from 2006.
From 2007, there would be 4 departments left. Corporate Relations would merge with Communications and Publicity, and CCA Council would merge with Student Welfare. The Student Council is 82-strong as of now.
There would be a JC section of SC from 2007.

on behalf of the ex-internal affairs dept., i hope that the new exco would bring the student council (sec) section to new unprecented heights!
(at the very least show that we are united.) LOL.

Hello all SCs!
To those who are currently reading this (that means you're reading it on Sunday, 22 October 2006), please be reminded that there will be a Compulsory General Meeting tomorrow at 1.40pm, most probably in the AVT, but Mdm Loh will most probably (again) make an announcement tomorrow so please listen up! :) You might want to bring along some stationery to take down stuff.
