It's been a long time since i post.
On behalf of the exco, I would like to say A GOOOOOOOOOOOD & GREEEEEEEEEEEEAT JOB TO THE SPORTS DAY '08 COMM!!
Although I didnt stay for the full sports meet today, I think the cheering sessions were super good! I am seriously not saying those 客套话. 'cause some of my friends out there on the track/field said that dunman high students were like mad people today who screamed their lungs out!! They said that even though it's not the cheering compeition session, dunmanians were still shouting & screaming away.
And what does this means?
It means that the sports day comm people & other SCs & teachers-in-charge & every dunmanians were engaged in the whole combined sports meet today!!!
I just want to comment on the pub comm that they made an effort to call upon the trackers to give a mini speech every morn is good. It made the school aware that all trackers need our support and every little support counts!
Sports meet is not only a track & field team issue, but a school's effort!
I know it's really hard for the sports day comm to finish up all the work... but it's really a great job!

hey dear scs! the prefectorial board of tanjong katong girls' school will be organising a leadership conference entitled 'lifeline' on17 May (Saturday), from 8 AM to 6 PM. lunch and tea breaks will be provided. there will be games and some talks, feedback sessions, sharing sessions etc. they would like us to send 4 representatives from our school (preferably year 3s), so for those of you who are interested, please contact rachel or yanlin latest by wednesday (26 March 08). SPORTS DAY CHEERING PRACTICE NEWS!
there is no class comm investiture for lower and upper sec assembly on 24th march (term 2, week 2, mon) these 2 assemblies will be replaced by cheering sessions on top of the original slots of 17th mar, term 2 week 1 mon, assembly (for yr 1 and 2) and 26th mar, term 2 week 2 wed, PC period (for yr 3 and 4)
all sports day comm members will be excused from lessons from 1045 to 1145 this coming mon 17th march to help out with the cheering sessions.

It is our duty to bring back the glory of winning the cheer competition. the competition is tight between the runners and they're trying their hardest on the tracks and in the field to glorify Dunman High. The least we can do is put in our best and try our hardest to win the cheer competition (= as councillors, we must be prepared and confident in order to be able to hype up the crowd to join us in cheering (:
to do that, we need to prepare ourselves, which is why every SC MUST go for at least 2 out of the 3 practice sessions. the committee has worked hard so let's give them our support yeah? (:
pls have a heavy bfast and drink lots of water before going for the practices (=
& pack in a whole lot of enthusiasm too!

hey everyone! happy holidays! :D and just a short post to remind all of you to check the noticeboard for announcement duty roster for term 2 and any other updates should there be yea? (: for the announcement duty, we won't be calling you all to inform you anymore. so all of you please make it a point to check the noticeboard regularly and please know that you are on duty. do inform us if you cannot make it for announcements on that day for any particular reason, and please feel free to call us if you have any queries. all announcers also please take note to be in the foyer at 7.50 am to read through the announcements at least once or twice, so that you do not falter and stutter when reading them out (: thank you everyone, it's been a great term one, let's stride towards a better term 2! happy holidays once again!
