Hey everyone! Both PSLTC and SC Camp are over, and I guess it's time for some (or most) of you to take a well-deserved break. Much has been said about PSLTC, so I shall talk about SC Camp. As mentioned during the debrief earlier, I'm so proud to see all of you being leaders in your own special and unique ways. Sometimes while standing at the sidelines and watching all you guys do your stuff, I can see many people displaying their own authentic leadership qualities, and as a group, all your qualities seem to blend nicely to form success. It doesn't matter who was the winning group this time, or who scored the least points etc. What I would say is that all of you have done exceptionally well, despite this being a leisure camp. I mean, I'm proud of all of you for being able to keep to whatever meeting times we set, and also for co-operating with us all the time. One event that struck me rather deeply was the night activities, meaning the two candle activities. Candle War was great in many aspects - in that all of you managed to keep your noise levels down (seriously, you all were great) and in that you all strategised nicely and were willing to listen to and accept others' opinions and ideas. That is integral. The next candle activity was great too. Although many of you picked the tea lights of fellow SCs that you did not really know well, you still talked quite a fair bit about the person and wished him/her well. A new friend found! :-) Thank You for being so enthusiastic and participative throughout the whole of this week, and we hope that all of you will enjoy the rest of the June holidays. Gotta take care of yourselves, remember to play hard and of course, do your holiday homework as well ;-) Take care :-) - Mabel |
